Our History

For almost 70 years, Airtrol has provided building owners and operators with the technical knowledge and experience they need for the installation and replacement of mechanical equipment and systems.

Warren Pol joined Airtrol in 1946 upon his return from serving his country during World War II. Mr. Pol quickly became a dynamic force within the company. He remained an active leader until the mid-1980s, when Stephen Pol become the President of Airtrol. Stephen would steer the company and provide leadership for the next 30+ years, and he continues to serve as President to this day.

Airtrol’s history is closely intertwined with that of Louisiana’s most historic buildings and institutions. From the State Capitol building to the Old Governor’s Mansion to some of the state’s most prominent educational institutions, Airtrol has a long history of performing work on numerous area landmarks.

Airtrol has performed work for Louisiana State University and its various facilities every year since the 1940s. We have also performed work for Southern University for the last six decades, and for the State Capitol for the last five decades.

Through the years, as the industry has grown and the variety of projects has become increasingly complex, our depth of experience and knowledge in mechanical projects has also expanded. Today, we offer the expertise needed for even the most sophisticated mechanical projects.
